Lester I. Moore was born and raised in Galveston, Texas. He was educated in the Galveston Independent School District and graduated from Ball High
School in 2006. He went on to further his education by attending Prairie View A & M University where he received his Bachelor of Science in Architecture.
Following graduation from Prairie View, he began teaching Kindergarten at
KIPP Coastal Village in Galveston Independent School District in 2011 to
2014. After leaving the Education fteld he joined the University of Texas Medical Branch Police Department and became a Public Safety Officer. After being selected to attend the 97th Basic Peace Offtcer Course (BPOC) at the University of Texas Police System Academy in Austin, Texas. He graduated from the Academy on November 20, 2015 and was selected as 97th BPOC class President. He became a licensed Peace Officer in the State of Texas. In the Fall of 2017 Lester was intiated into the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Gamma Pi Lambda Chapter in Galveston, Texas.
Lester and Edwina Moore have been married since March 8, 2014 and have
two children, Lenden and Edison Moore. Edwina is a Galveston native and
member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated.
