Brother Farrando McQueen was inducted into Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Gamma Pi Lambda Chapter seated in Galveston, Texas in December of 2017. Born in Savannah, Georgia, Randy received his Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Redlands in San Bernardino California.
After serving in the United States Navy as a Petty Officer Third Class Aviation Electronics Technician. Randy began his civilian employment at the University of California San Diego Medical Group. His expertise in computer software facilitated his transition to the world of Information Technology as a Systems Analyst at the University until he relocated to Indianapolis, Indiana as a Programmer Analyst. He later served as a Systems Analyst at the University of Miami School of Medicine. Randy has worked as a Consultant with Hayes Management Consulting, a Programmer Analyst for the University of a Texas-Houston, in the Texas Medical Center and as a Systems Programming Manager for McKesson Corporation and its’ subsidiary, Change Healthcare.
The son of a retired Army sergeant, Randy has lived throughout the United States, Panama, and Germany. Currently, he is a member of St. John’s Downtown United Methodist Church where his is a member of the Men’s Lion Hearts feeding the homeless, and a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Gamma Pi Lambda chapter in Galveston, TX.
