Brother Dr. Ian C. Barrett was inducted into Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Gamma Pi Lambda Chapter seated in Galveston, Texas on November 21, 2015. Currently, he is Regional Vice President of Human Resources at BJC Healthcare in St. Louis. He is a healthcare human resources expert, and his career has included roles at the University of Texas Medical Branch, the University of Massachusetts Medical School, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, and Emory Healthcare.
He earned his doctorate and undergraduate degrees at the University of Georgia and a MBA at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His civil rights interests include being both a lifetime member of the NAACP and alumnus board member of the Human Rights Campaign. He is a graduate of both Leadership Galveston and the Greater Cincinnati Urban League’s African American Leadership Development Program. He is a member of St. John’s United Methodist Church Houston.
