Brother Dr. Andre Credit

Dr. Andre Credit is an educational leader with over 20 years of experience in education. As a successful educator, he has worked with children as a teacher, assistant principal, associate principal, school principal, and superintendent. He also works as an adjunct professor at the Lamar University where he supervises future principals. Dr. Credit’s desire to continue to promote and develop future leaders he currently serve as the Principal of Horizon Montessori Public Schools-Pearland.

Previously, Dr. Credit served as the Superintendent of The Pro-Vision Academy, a Texas Public Charter District where he worked collaboratively with members of the board and school leadership team in the development of a Success Plan for students considered “at-risk,” resulting in an increased student enrollment of 20% annually, partnering with Houston Community College to offer dual credit courses to students grades eight thru twelve, and expanding CTE and advance academic opportunities. Dr. Credit also established a partnership with Prairie View A&M Psychology Department to offer mental health counseling services to the students and parents in the community. Understanding the needs of the community, Dr. Credit established the district’s first ever Parent University. Parent University was designed to help parents gain social, emotional, parenting, and job ready skills. As the Principal of La Marque High School (Grades 9-12) (550 students) and Executive Principal of Pro-Vision Academy (Grades 3-12) (570 students), he demonstrated a track record of making significant differences in children’s lives, yielding high student growth and achievement and increased retention of highly effective teachers. Because of his collaborative leadership approach, he was able to lead both campuses out of Improvement Required status in his first year on both campuses, respectively.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Recreation from Alcorn State University, a master’s degree in School Administration from Prairies View A&M, and a doctorate in Education Leadership from Walden University. He is a proud father of three. Dr. Credit became a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc, Gamma Pi Lambda Chapter in November 2021.
